Brief introduction of wear-resistant composite steel plate
Wear-resistant clad steel plate refers to a special plate product specially designed for use under large-area wear conditions. It is made of ordinary low-carbon steel or low-alloy steel, stainless steel and other surfaces with good toughness and plasticity. Plate products made of alloy wear-resistant layer with high and excellent wear resistance.
Wear-resistant composite steel plate is composed of low-carbon steel plate and alloy wear-resistant layer. The alloy wear-resistant layer is generally 1/3~1/2 of the total thickness. When working, the matrix provides comprehensive properties such as strength, toughness and plasticity against external forces, and the alloy wear-resistant layer provides wear-resistant and heat-resistant properties that meet the requirements of specified working conditions.
The alloy wear-resistant layer of the wear-resistant composite steel plate and the substrate are completely metallurgically bonded. Through special equipment and automatic welding process, the high-hardness self-protected alloy welding wire or alloy powder is uniformly welded on the substrate, and the number of composite layers is one to two or even multiple layers. Cracks, which are the distinctive features of clad steel sheets.
The alloy wear-resistant layer is mainly composed of chromium alloy, and other alloy components such as manganese, molybdenum, niobium, nickel, boron are also added. The carbides in the metallographic structure are distributed in fibers, and the fiber direction is perpendicular to the surface. The microhardness of carbide can reach HV1700-2000 or more, and the surface hardness can reach HRC58-65. Alloy carbide has strong stability at high temperature, maintains high hardness, and also has good oxidation resistance, and can be used normally within 500 ℃.

The temperature resistance of wear-resistant composite steel plate is related to the base material:
The temperature resistance of the base material Q235 carbon steel is: -20℃-550℃
The temperature resistance of the base material 304 stainless steel is: -20℃-1000℃ (when the temperature exceeds 600℃, the wear-resistant layer needs to add tungsten, molybdenum and vanadium)
The wear resistance of wear-resistant composite steel plate is compared with other materials
The chemical composition of the alloy wear-resistant layer has a carbon content of 4 to 5% and a chromium content of 25 to 40%. The volume fraction of Cr7C3 carbides in its metallographic structure is more than 50%. The hardness is HV1400~1800. Because the carbides are distributed perpendicular to the wear direction, the wear resistance is more than doubled even compared with the cast alloys of the same composition and hardness. The wear resistance comparison with several typical materials is as follows:
(1) with low carbon steel; 20~25:1
(2) with as-cast high chromium cast iron; 1.5~2.5:1
Industrial application of wear-resistant composite steel plate
1. Metallurgical industry: chutes, fans, weighing hoppers, powder separator blades, slide plates, slag removal pipes, blast furnace top hoppers.
2. Coal industry: cone wear-resistant lining plate of wheel bucket excavator, middle trough plate of scraper type coal conveyor, feeding trough, hopper, mine hoisting skip, coal washing plant pipeline, chute.
3. Cement industry: scrapers, slides, air guide cones, guide air blades, dust removal pipes, slag discharge troughs.
4. Power industry: fan blades, burner pipelines, stacker and reclaimer hoppers, silo linings, coal mill linings, pulverized coal conveying pipes, pulverized coal distributor grids, coal unloading equipment linings.
Wear-resistant composite steel plate has high wear resistance and good impact performance. It can be cut, bent, welded, etc., and can be connected to other structures by welding, plug welding, bolt connection, etc. It is widely used in metallurgy, coal, cement, electric power, glass, mining, building materials, brick and tile, ports and other industries. Compared with other materials, it has a high cost performance and has been accepted by more and more industries favored by manufacturers.
