NM450 material equivalent

    
    NM® 450 is a wear-resistant steel grade developed by SSAB, a Swedish multinational steel manufacturer. It has a nominal hardness of 450 Brinell, which is equivalent to around 7.7 – 8.0 GPA. This makes it ideal for applications that require high wear and tear resistance, such as those in heavy equipment, mining, and the construction industry.
    
    NM® 450 steel is a low alloy, wear-resistant steel plate. It features high resistance to abrasion, good formability and impact resistance, as well as good weldability. The low alloy content makes it easy to work with. The steel plate is highly resistant to both wear and impact, thanks to its high tensile strength of approximately 1100 MPa. Its higher-grade counterparts, such as NM® 500 and NM® 600, are used when NM® 450’s properties are not enough for the application.
