NM400 steel testing requirements

    
    NM400 steel is a kind of wear-resistant and abrasion-resistant steel produced by Jing Ye Iron and Steel Co., Ltd. It has good mechanical properties and is widely used in the manufacture of wear-resistant parts and components. The industry has strict testing requirements for NM400 steel plates.
    
    1.Chemical composition testing: chemical composition testing is to determine the chemical composition of NM400 steel plates, so as to ensure that qualified steels are manufactured according to the requirements of steel standards. Chemical composition testing of NM400 steel plates can be directly tested by ultimate analyzer or energy spectrometer.
    
    2.Tensile properties test: tensile properties test of NM400 steel is to measure the mechanical properties such as yield strength, tensile strength and elongation to ensure the performance of the steel. The tensile properties of NM400 steel plates can be tested by universal testing machine.
    
    3.Hardness test: the hardness test of NM400 steel is a micro-hardness test, which is mainly used to measure the as-delivered hardness of NM400 steel. The hardness value can be accurately checked and the performance of NM400 steel can be effectively monitored. This test can be done by Rockwell hardness tester.
    
    4.Impact test: impact test of NM400 steel is to determine the impact properties of NM400 steel, including impact energy and impact value, so as to ensure that NM400 steel has sufficient energy absorption capacity and fracture toughness. Impact test of steel can be done by impact testing machine.
    
    5.Flattening test: flattening test of NM400 steel is to measure the flatness of the steel surface. The result of the test can be compared with the specified requirements to ensure the superb quality of the steel. NK400 steel flattened test can be conducted by hydraulic pressure flattening device.
    
    6.Bending test: bending test of NM400 steel is to measure the plastic deformation ability and deformation energy absorption capacity of NM400 steel, so as to ensure that the NM400 steel has good bending performance. This test can be carried out by three-point bending machine.
    
    7.Ultrasonic test: ultrasonic test of NM400 steel is to measure the internal defects of the steel by interrogate welding, so as to ensure the high quality and qualified performance of NM400 steel plates. Ultrasonic test of NM400 steel can be performed by ultrasonic flaw detector.
    
    Through the above 7 kinds of tests, the physical and mechanical properties of NM400 steel plates can be accurately tested and the performance of steel plates can be effectively monitored. In this way, the product quality of NM400 steel can be ensured.
