16Mo3 steel plate is used for pressure vessel, and it is EN10028-2 designated chromium molybdenum steel alloy that is used for increasing working temperature. 16Mo3 steel plate is used to make industrial boilers and pressure vessels for the petroleum, natural gas and chemical industries. 16Mo3 steel plate is different from other raw materials in welding: xar400 plate equivalent grades preheating shall be carried out first, and the weld joint shall be kept for about 30 minutes after the completion of welding.

The weldability of xar400 plate equivalent grades is good. It means that under certain process and construction conditions, xar400 plate equivalent grades can obtain good performance after welding. Weldability is a measure of the hot workability of steel. Weldability can be divided into weldability in construction and weldability in use. Weldability in construction refers to the sensitivity of cracking in weld metal and near seam zone, and hardening sensitivity of steel in near seam zone. Good weldability means that under certain welding process conditions, the weld metal and steel near the seam do not produce cracks. Weldability in use means that the mechanical properties of weld and HAZ steel are not lower than those of base metal.

If the chromium content in xar400 plate equivalent grades alloy steel reaches about 12%, dense chromium oxides will be formed on the surface of the steel, which will greatly improve the corrosion resistance of steel in oxidizing media. Chromium, aluminum, silicon and other elements can improve the oxidation resistance of steel and the corrosion resistance of high-temperature gas, but excessive aluminum and silicon will deteriorate the thermoplasticity of steel.

Q355B steel and xar400 plate equivalent grades steelBoth Q345B and Q355B are low alloy steels. The difference is that the yield strength of Q345B low alloy steel and Q345B low alloy steel is different. In Q345B low-alloy steel, q represents the yield strength of this material, and the latter 345 represents the yield value of this material is around 345mpa. Q in Q355B low-alloy steel also represents the yield strength of this material, and the latter 355 indicates that the yield value of this material is around 355mpa.
