Blast furnace ironmaking is a traditional ironmaking method based on coke energy. It cooperates with converter steelmaking and is the main method of producing Hardox 450 equivalent steel at present. This dominance of blast furnace ironmaking is not expected to change for quite a long time. The essence of blast furnace ironmaking is the reduction of iron. Besides, coke is used as fuel and reducing agent. At high temperatures, iron ore or iron-containing raw materials are reduced from an oxide or mineral state to liquid pig iron.

A335 P22 steel pipe belongs to ferrite alloy steel nominal pipe for high temperature use. Chemical composition of A335 P22 steel pipe: C 0.10-0.20, Mn 0.30-0.80, P ≤ 0.025, S ≤ 0.025, Si 0.10-0.50, Mo 0.44-0.65. Mechanical properties of A335 P22 steel pipe: tensile strength 415mpa, yield strength 205 MPa. Hardox 450 equivalent, A335 P22 steel pipe is characterized by good process performance, less sensitivity to the heating temperature of heat treatment, good welding performance, good plasticity, and low strength, especially the high temperature rupture strength is lower than 12Cr1MoV steel. When used at the same temperature and stress, its wall thickness is about 30% thicker than 12Cr1MoV Steel.
