316 Vs 304: ASTM 316L(1.4404) is a low-carbon austenitic chromium-nickel-molybdenum steel. Due to the addition of 2-2.5% molybdenum, the corrosion resistance of the stainless steel 316L is significantly better than that of the standard austenitic grades 304 and 304L, HARDOX 400 hot wear. The 1.4404 material is resistant to intercrystalline corrosion when welded! but not resistant to sea water. Best corrosion resistance is given with a polished surface. This material is comparable to 1.4401.

Mechanical properties of Q550C steel: yield strength ≥ 550 MPa, tensile strength 600-780 MPa, elongation after fracture ≥ 16%, impact energy ≥ 55J. HARDOX 400 hot wear, Q550C steel is mainly used for manufacturing various large-scale engineering structural components and construction machinery.
