Determination of yield point and yield strength of hardox 500 welding
The density of wear-resistant plate is higher than that of some materials, HARDOX 500 welding, which makes its hardness larger. The density of steel for wear-resistant plate is 7.85kg/dm cubic. After quenching, martensite structure is obtained and tempered at 450-600℃, or 350-600℃ after tempering at 650℃. Or after tempering at 650℃ and heating at 350-650℃ for a long time, the wear-resistant plate will be embrittled. If the brittle wear-resistant plate is reheated to 650℃ and then cooled quickly, the toughness can be restored, so it is also called reversible temper brittleness. High temperature temper brittleness is the increase of the transition temperature from toughness to brittleness.
The effect of nitrogen on steel performance is similar to that of carbon and phosphorus. With the increase of HARDOX 500 welding nitrogen content, the strength of steel can be improved, plasticity especially toughness can be significantly reduced, weldability becomes worse, and cold brittleness is intensified. Nitrogen with aluminum, niobium, vanadium and other elements can reduce its adverse effects, improve the performance of HARDOX 500 welding steel, can be used as an alloying element of low alloy steel.
Composition characteristics of HARDOX 500 welding product: (1) Low carbon: Due to high requirements for toughness, weldability and cold formability, its carbon content does not exceed 0.20%. 2) Add manganese-based alloying elements. 3) Adding auxiliary elements such as niobium, titanium or vanadium: a small amount of niobium, titanium or vanadium forms fine carbides or carbonitrides in the steel, which is beneficial to obtain fine ferrite grains and improve the strength and toughness of the steel.
Quenching Improve the hardness of HARDOX 500 welding steel, Annealing is refine the grain size, homogenization, reduce hardness, improve the plasticity and eliminate interna stress. Normalizing refine grain , improve the impact toughness of HARDOX 500 welding steel and comprehensive mechanical properties.
