No matter what kind of wear-resistant steel plate, it is composed of two parts, namely wear-resistance of NM500, carbon steel plate and alloy wear-resistant layer. Under normal conditions, the thickness of the alloy wear-resistant layer of wear-resistant steel plate is 1/3-1/2 of the total thickness. When working, the matrix provides comprehensive properties such as strength, toughness and plasticity to resist external forces, and the alloy wear-resistant layer provides wear-resistant properties meeting the requirements of specified working conditions.

The weldability of wear-resistance of NM500 is good. It means that under certain process and construction conditions, wear-resistance of NM500 can obtain good performance after welding. Weldability is a measure of the hot workability of steel. Weldability can be divided into weldability in construction and weldability in use. Weldability in construction refers to the sensitivity of cracking in weld metal and near seam zone, and hardening sensitivity of steel in near seam zone. Good weldability means that under certain welding process conditions, the weld metal and steel near the seam do not produce cracks. Weldability in use means that the mechanical properties of weld and HAZ steel are not lower than those of base metal.
