BBN STEEL exported NM400 use for container 782tons to Russia

The boiler steel is not only required to have good corrosion resistance at low temperature, but also required to have good oxidation resistance at high temperature for components working at high temperature. Especially for the components of superheater and reheater, when they NM400 use for container work at high temperature, they are required not easy to be oxidized and peeled. Generally, the development speed of oxidation depth at working temperature is required to be less than 0.1mm/year. The addition of chromium, nickel, aluminum and silicon can improve the oxidation resistance of steel.

The preparation of NM400 use for container galvanized steel before welding is the same as that of ordinary low-carbon steel. It is necessary to carefully handle the groove size and nearby galvanized layer. In order to achieve penetration, the groove size shall be appropriate, generally 60 ~ 65 °, with a certain gap, generally 1.5 ~ 2.5mm; in order to reduce the penetration of zinc into the weld, the galvanized layer in the groove can be removed before welding. In the practical work, the centralized beveling, no blunt edge technology for NM400 use for container centralized control, two-layer welding process, reducing the possibility of incomplete penetration.

In 2016. Our company offer 1200 tons API 5L GR.B hot rolled coil to Bangladesh——100 tons for 3.9*625mm, and 1100 tons for 7*683mm. It is one tender project, we get the tender at the end of 2015, and arrange the production in 2016. They required the tolerance of thickness is +0.1/-0.2mm, and width tolerance is +/-0.5mm, which is a very high requirement for coil tolerance, but our mill handling this very well. and our Q/C department witness all of the process.
