According to EN 10025-2, the thickness of S450J0 plate is within 3-150mm. The elongation of Hardox 450 steel, S235 steel, S275 steel and S355 steel plate thickness is ≤250mm. However, the S235J2, S275J2, S355J2 and S355K2 plates limitation is ≤400mm.
16MnDR steel plate is suitable for low temperature pressure vessels manufacturing. Grade 16Mn- indicates that the content of manganese (Mn) in the steel plate is relatively high, about 1% -1.6%, D- indicates low temperature, R- indicates pressure vessel. (Normally, when the content of a certain chemical element in steel is high, it needs to be marked in the material, for example, 1.6% manganese is written as 16Mn; certain elements such as Cr and Mo are higher, written as Cr1, Mo1, Such as 12Cr2Mo1R.)
