Although NM400 material, low carbon steel has excellent plasticity, toughness and processing technology, its strength is low and its corrosion resistance is not strong enough. On the basis of ordinary low carbon steel, the low alloy structural steel with high strength, high toughness, good weldability and corrosion resistance can be obtained by adding a small amount of alloy elements and the total amount is less than 3%. Manganese is the main additive element in this kind of steel, and its content is about 1% ~ 1.6%.
