ASTM A242 is a kind of high strength low alloy steel with good atmospheric corrosion resistance. Some applications show that it HARDOX 400 welding has better corrosion resistance than ASTM A36 steel plate and ASTM a572 50 steel plate. Like weathering steel, it can be used without painting, and corrosion naturally stops and becomes a protective layer.

We do sand blasting and shop primer for various HARDOX 400 welding steel plates such as carbon steel plates, high strength low alloy steel plates, shipbuilding steel plates, etc. before delivery, so as to protect the steel plates from going rust during transportation. Our sand blasting standard is SA2.5, and shop primer HARDOX 400 welding thickness is 20μm or so. Our shop primer has been certified by ABS, LR, BV etc. authorities.
