NM450 equivalent European standard

    
    NM450 is a high-strength wear-resistant steel with a hardness of 450 HBW (Brinell hardness), equivalent to an SSAB SWEBOR 400 wear-resistant steel grade. In terms of mechanical properties, NM450 is 3 times higher than common low-alloy steel plates and 7 times higher than that of hull structural steel. Furthermore, the processing and welding performance of NM450 is better than that of common low-alloy structural steel plates.
    
    NM450 is capable of resisting temperatures up to 450 °C and is therefore suitable for applications such as friction plates or liners in various machines. In particular, its wear resistance is approximately 3 times higher than that of Brinell 500 commonly used wear resistant steel plate.
