5800 tons equivalent material of nm500 steel ERW pipe for Qatar Integrated Railway Project

With the development of remote oil and gas fields, polar oil and gas fields, offshore oil and gas fields and acid oil and gas fields, oil and gas pipeline engineering is facing challenges of high-pressure transmission and harsh environment such as low temperature, large displacement, deep sea and acid medium. In order to ensure the enthusiasm and safety of pipeline construction and operation, the basic requirements and development trend of equivalent material of NM500 steel, pipeline steel are high strength, high toughness, large deformation, thick wall, high corrosion and good weldability.

The Indian customer purchased our A516 Gr 70 pressure vessel steel plates to make tanks. They have very strict requirement for raw materials quality. For the A516 Gr 70 pressure vessel steel plates, they asked for Normalizing, 0℃ impact, A578 UT test, PWHT and so on tests, our Q/C department witness the production process with the technician from the customer company together. Meanwhile, we arrange BV inspection to check the quantity, spray mark, stamp on the A516 Gr 70 pressure vessel steel plates, and so on.

Weathering steel is made of ordinary carbon steel with a small amount of copper, nickel and other corrosion-resistant elements. It has the characteristics of high-quality steel, such as strength, toughness, ductility, forming, welding and cutting, abrasion, high temperature, fatigue and so on. The weathering resistance of weathering steel is 2-8 times of that of plain carbon steel equivalent material of NM500 steel, and the coating property is 1.5-10 times of that of plain carbon steel. Weathering steel has the characteristics of rust resistance, corrosion resistance, life extension, thinning and consumption reduction, labor saving and energy saving, etc..

For ASTM A573 Grade 70/A573 Gr.70 carbon manganese silicon steel plates, our company would issue the original mill test certificate equivalent material of NM500 steel EN 10204 3.1 for clients when arrange delivery, so that clients can trace the A573 Gr.70 plates origin easily.
